Backed up folder gone wrong

I bought OFB today and yes it is still wrapped. I tried to back up my sims2 folder to my desktop and it did. Only problem now is it says I have 1.48GB left when the specs say 1.5 is what you need. How can I reverse this to get my 2 something back? I don't have a CD burner, so what are my other options?

You can try compressing that folder using WinRAR or another compression program that'll let you zip or rar it. You can then delete the folder on your desktop, clear your recycle bin, and you'll have more space. Not sure how much space you'll get back in that compression, but it should make it somewhat smaller. Otherwise, delete some stuff you don't need, whether it's sims stuff or not, to free up more space.

It even says in the readme file not to run the game with too little free space... it recommends 500 mb free, but for the sake of your computer having swap space and the like, you might want to keep more like a gig free. Get rid of some stuff. :)

I did disk cleanup and it gave me 1.66GB. What if I do system restore, will it reverse it?

System Restore does not recover lost or deleted files, it only loads the settings that were used at the time of the restore point.
