Sim dissapeared from family

I moved a family, single dad with two daughters from one neighborhood to another. When I moved the family into a house, in the new neighborhood, both the girls are there (both teens) but their father is missing. He shows up on the little picture that shows the family, but once the family loads there is no trace of him. Simpe still shows the family ties too. I am stumped. Can anyone help me with this?

I have nightlife. Both neighborhoods are Maxis.

That is a known bug that Maxis is currently fixing in an upcoming patch.

The Sim Vlad, where are you getting your information from? According to you, there are at least five known bugs which Maxis are going to fix. Now, I can only find details of one on the official site- the rest of the problems I'm seeing are caused by custom content.

Originally yes, I put them on lot and moved the lot with the family. The lot was an empty one, I mean, it didn't have a house on it. In the new neighborhood, I tried moving them from one lot to another, still no dad. I am wondering if I should just delete the whole family and reform it again. Wierd.

Can you summon him to the lot at all, by using the testing cheats?

If his character information is there, this should theoretically be possible.

I tried using the cheats and tutorial mentioned with no luck. I ended up removing the family and rebuilding them.
