Hi :)

My children are really enjoying the 'Seasons' pack and wish they had more fun things for children to do. They would like a 'kiddy-car' a go-Kart for their young sims to play on. As I recall go-Karts would only go down hill, although I'm sure a battery powered version will do :)

I have asked if they will design a go-Kart, but the problem is getting the animations and details correct in the package.

Can anyone help here?

I've designed furniture and fashion (I'm an illustrator) but I can't programme.
If I clone a car its going to race off onto the road. Is there a trajectory and path of a Sim that remains on a lot that I can use as a base at all?

Help very much appreciated :)

Not quite a go-kart but Echo's carnival set has rideable objects. You could recolor the cars and layout a small track. They really get a good fun boost from them too.

You're welcome to clone the carts in that set too if you need a different mesh. The carts are not animated themselves, so they're very simple to remesh, and you shouldn't need to change any code. If you don't want to use a track for it, you can base it on the bumper cars instead - they just drive around randomly. :)

Thank-you :) , I hadnt thought of that, I'm not suprised it took so long to design, I think the kids will have much more fun with the Carnival set though !

Thanks for the permission to mesh a go-cart design around your original. I'll see how we go this week and keep you informed with shots of our progress,

bye for now,
