I have had this problem ever since I have played the sims and I have looked everywhere to find a solution - and I couldn't find one, let alone anyone else that is having this problem.

When I am playing a sim family, one of the neighbours will come into the house uninvited, run up to my sims and harass them and poke them, causing whatever relationship between the two sims, to become enemies.

It doesn't matter what sim family I play, it always happens and has happened since owning the sims 2 (I now have expansion packs and have uninstalled and re-installed a number of times and it is still happening).

It is usually only one of the sims in the neighbourhood that does it, and if I delete them, then another one becomes the one that is doing the harrassing.

I hope that made sense. Does anybody know what to do to help or can direct me to anything that will stop this.
Thankyou.

Is your sim looking through a telescope near enough at the time the unwanted guest comes barging in??

The sim may be spying on the unwanted one, therefore he will come over all angry.

Biscuit is right. It's usually the oldest sim in the neighbourhood. In Pleasantview it's old Morty, and in Strangeville it's Pascal (i think). If you're playing a custom 'hood, it's usually the first sim created.

Normal gameplay behavior. TwoJeffs at MATY has a hack that stops the shoving. It's called:No Shoving From Look Through.
Find the version that fits your game install config in his hack directory:

It comes packaged with the manual.

In veronaville its consort capp or patrizio monty.

It always happens to me, but in my custom hood there isn't any older people so its hard to get somebody to spy on...

One way I have found to solve this problem, as well as unwanted pets in the yard digging holes, was to put a fence across the front of the property and program the gate to "allow household only" or "disallow pets". And most of the fences are fairly attractive so it adds to the appearance of the lot. (you don't have to fence the entire yard, just the front of the lot.) Just be sure you unlock the gate when you order groceries or the delivery person won't cross the street to deliver the groceries.
