uagirlPlayer, I've asked that question myself and according to my brother the previous downloads should continue to work properly.
I really hope so. :)

I just love this site, it is the only thing that gets me through the day. Hopefully around the 2nd I will be able to donate something. Thanks for the hard work and explaining everything...

Yes, absolutely... once you've downloaded something, and it works, it doesn't matter whether the website is working, or even in existence, doesn't matter if you can still download the file anywhere else - unless you download something which conflicts, or install an EP which conflicts, your game will keep working.
A huge thankyou to everyone who has/is going to donate; we wouldn't be here without you :)

Well I see the goal has been met. Awesomeness. That was pretty quick, just shows that MTS2 is the best TS2 fan-site ever! lol
Great job people. Unlike some people *cough*, I can wait for the new server. It will be worth waiting for.

If a friend emails you a photo from his cell phone, and then deletes the photo from his phone, does your copy of the photo disappear? (The answer is NO.) If your friend lends you a CD, and you rip it to MP3 for your iPod, and then somebody breaks into your friend's car and steals his CD, does the song on your iPod stop working? (The answer is NO.)
Files you've saved to your hard drive are on YOUR hard drive. Nothing that happens to someone else's copy of the file affects your copy -- not even if "someone else's copy" is the copy on the website you got the file from.

:/
Is that helping in any way? Or being supportive of all the people who are working hard and organising so we have this wonderful free site to download from, get help and tutorials from, and find a great community?
The reasons for no Q-xpress have already been explained. If you need some info, Delphy's posts would probably be a great place to start :)
Acria xx
Edit: That was directed at Mokuska, just to be clear :)

Mokuska, shouting about it wont make it come back any quicker. Your post is about as constructive as a chocolate fireplace. Do it again and you lose posting rights

What? I'm allowed to be a grammar Nazi occasionally... :)

I'm a grammar Nazi all the time. :D :D
And no offense to those who love Q-Xpress, but I don't use it, mostly because my internet is unreliable, and I have an organized downloads file, so I'd have to go through and sort everything after every download session instead of just doing that way the first time.
And even if I did, I'd still be patient and supportive of Delphy, who's been working to fix this problem. Demanding like a four year old really doesn't do any good for anyone.

thanks for letting us know what is going on... i understand completely.
everyone just needs to be patient. i have found that if you are the download will end up working eventually...
*edit* i find if you get the download error page when you go to download "sever temp. busy" wait a full 30 sec. then try again. it has pretty much worked every time for me.

Uhm, that's just sad. Very sad. Sorry you guys have to put up with this kind of junk. I used Q-Xpress too, but I'm more than happy to wait until things are worked out. Good old fashioned downloading works well too, Mokuska.

So...who is the awesome creator that's going to make a yummy chocolate fireplace now? :D
I miss Q-Express, but having have seen some of my QX "shopping lists" at MTS2, I can understand how they'd contribute heavily to server load.

Q-Xpress (http://www.q-xpressinstaller.com).
The Q-Xpress is still there, just the Q-Xpress links are gone. If you're going to be rude about asking for what you want, at least make sure you ask for what you actually want... ;)

I just want to say that I'm glad you guys reached the target so fast! Congrats! I remembered trying to download something and getting an error message some days ago then coming back here this is what I find. This site is AWESOME!! I've gotten answers here that I couldn't from other sites and I really appreciate that. Thanks for all your hard work and I hope you guys won't be discouraged by some of the rude and demanding members. I don't post much I know but I just want to say that unlike some people, most of us do appreciate all your hard work! THANKS!!

well, i wanted to tell you and all the people that make this site possible, keep it going, and add to it, thank you for everything. and im sorry, i cant help with the donationdrive this time around. my bank account is over drawn as it is, but if i had twenty buck or something to my name that i could give you guys, i would. this site has been amazingly helpful to me since i first got sims 2. the wonderful people all gathered here have been wonderfully helpful to me and so many others with all of our sims 2 and expansion problems and needs. thanks to this site, the best designed and most informative of all the sims 2 sites ive ever been to. you guys are so much more helpful than the official which seems to always avoid to directly answer any questions. at least when i would ask them. sorry, im babbling again. i cant help that, i babble a lot. other than thanking you for this wonderful site, i have a problem.
i cant download anymore. due to the way it refreshes, i get this lil bar that pops up at the top of my screen when the download is ready. as soon as i click on it and okay the download, i am put back into line to wait for it. its never ending. here is a link to a screen shot of what im talking about.

Not to be rude, but I think you should post your problem in a new thread in a more appropriate section. You might get more help that way.

I'm actually waiting to download anything until q-xpress is back up to download. Now I can do other things, instead of browsing playing the sims and looking at content on modthesims2. This site is addicting, now I can catch up on my homework and housework. Yeah shame on me. I can't say this enough. YOU GUYS DO AN AWESOME JOB MAINTAINING THIS WEBSITE. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Once it's back up I will definitely be back and at it, and if I get some more money I'll definitely be donating some more. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU GUYS.

ritacalvin86401, I had the same problem but I just held down the ctrl button until the file pops up. Sometimes it took a good 15 minutes but I couldn't figure out how to change my settings lol. Its all good though, I really wanted the content lol. I hope that works for you too. If your in firefox I don't know if it does it the same way.

This is not site issues this is the donation drive thread. You won't get any help here. Please post in the appropriate forum..which is *drum roll* Site Issues. LOL There might be some stickys and posts there that can help you. If you can't find what you're looking for, then post. :)
Go to the navigation bar at the top of the page and chose: site map. You will find the site issues forum there, as well as all the forums on site. :) It's a huge site. I find that using the site map gets me where I need to go in a jiffy.

Due to the overages from the donation drive, instead of ordering one server and getting another upgraded, yesterday I ordered two new unmetered servers, which should be installed in a couple of days and then take some time to configure after that

I will be opening a bank account of my own tommorrow so as soon as that's all sorted out and I transfer over from my savers I will set up a monthly subscription.

I love this site, and Love all the peeps on it and the hard work the Admin and Creators do. If I knew how to do this stuff myself I wouldn't need such an awesome site.... but I really like visiting this site and watching the forums and such so I haven't made any new attempts. Money is tight right now, but I will make a donation once my new job starts because I think this is the best site out with the best team of people there is. I bow to Delphy and all the hard work he has done. Keep up the good work!

I am glad the donation drive was a success, this has been one of my favorite Simmies Sites for quite awhile. I was, sadly, unable to donate due to financial circumstances being what they are in my house (does anyone have a console cheat for reality?) ^_~ I do appreciate all the work that goes into this wonderful site and am glad i can get back to getting fun new files for my Simmies soon. Grats on two server and a big THANK YOU to all the creators, modders, staff and donators for making such a wonderful place. :lovestruc :bunny:

Wow, 2 new unmetered servers is brilliant news. To get them up, it takes as long as it takes. Anyone who enjoys the site content knows to be patient, and those who can't be patient will be jumped on by the rest of us :D
Thankyou to everyone for all of their hard work in setting up and maintaining the site for us all to enjoy. In most cases, for FREE. Don't lose sight of that and get all antsy because something isn't quite to your liking (gerenal "you" used there :D)

wow, I never new how download-websites worked.
I had some money so I've donated twice which only adds up to a measily $14.
I think I'm a big problem to the site... every so often I would try downloading like 10-40 things at a time.
I'm now gonna be patient with the maximum of one download at a time.
I'd donate more money if I had it.

My sister and I absolutely love this site, I wish our financial situation was better in my house because I would definately donate if it was. I am trying to finish my first project (a new career track, which is sadly taking me forever to finish due to a lack of chance card ideas) and I really enjoy the originiality and creativity of everyone here, this is a great site I have recommended to several of my friends.

I read down this thread hoping to see if anyone has had downloads that were corrupted so even a rar repair option was useless. Or Zip files that when opened were empty? Out of the last say 20 downloads, 17 were unusable. Only here and over the last few weeks have I had this problem. Anyone else experience this? oxoLegion

Excuse me, but the lin that everyone is sending me so i can fix my Q-xpress with the run-time error, is incorrect.
It says, "Sandals, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. If you are trying to access a download, it may have been removed by the Creator or by the Staff for policy violations or a number of other reasons.
2. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account from accessing this area."

Well Untill QXpress Links are added back on to the site I will not be downloading anymore custom content from the site. That was the only way I COuld dOwnload anything from this site was from QXpress links. Many people used that As a way to get custom content for there sim games including my friends. There may not be much traffic throughout the site without them! I mean wat was the big problem? They were working just fine for everyone. Reply Please!
