I'm trying to mod the loading screen for the game (the one that the scrolling string text runs across) and I can't for the life of me seem to find it. I've looked in the UI.package and found two images that should be it, but when I edit them only the small graphic on the neighborhood screen changes and the larger image (the one I assumed to be the load screen does nothing). Does the game load that image from the CD perhaps? Or maybe I'm just blind and can't find it. The pics below are of the image I am trying to use and the how the smaller one worked in my game. That one works fine, but the scrolling text one doesn't, any thoughts?
Later: I found a recolor of the Seasons' Load Screen and they did the exact same thing I did, so forget everything I've already written, there were install instructions included too. Apparently this mod needs to be in the Local folder based on the language that the game is running. I made a quick AnyGame with UK English as the language and everything worked perfectly. However, I haven't figured out how to make this work if your game is running the default US English game as there isn't a folder for that one. I also wanted a way of making this separate from the other AnyGames I am running. The Locale and UI folders are in Programs so all the installs pull the files. The purpose of this was to be able to distinguish on load if you are loading the correct game. When it is placed in Downloads, the load screen doesn't work, but the neighborhood part does. Now what?
