I'm not sure if this is in the right place, so don't shout at me if I'm int he wrong place! :lovestruc
I've seen quite a lot of replacement cell phones for university, and I tried to download the iPhone, but I put it in my downloads folder, but my sims came up with the screen that tells you that downloads are 'bad' (i can't remember it word for word)
Where do I put the download? and also I might make my own (so I can have my own phone, o how do I actually replace the default?
please help!!

The information -ought- to be in the post where you downloaded the phone replacement. I couldn't tell you beyond that because I've never messed with cell phones in game, really, much less replacements for them.

There is no "downloads are bad" screen. There's just a screen that comes up if you have stuff that may replace game content/change game behaviors - it has nothing to do with whether the stuff is bad, good, or otherwise. It's merely warning you something -could- go wrong, not that something -is- wrong. Click Enable on it or you won't get any custom content. Unless otherwise specified, you can always assume that downloads get installed the same way - packages in Downloads, sims2packs double-clicked, collections in Collections.

To be honest, if you're not far enough in learning about the game to know what that screen means already, then you're probably not ready to make your own. In order to make your own, you need to use SimPE to clone the Maxis phone and replace its textures and/or 3D model (mesh).
