I have a question about coloring certain objects.The question is how do you recolor objects piece by piece for example if you have a wooden chair and you wanted the legs to be yellow and the seat and back to be blue and the padded part to be textured how do you recolor each part seperately? Ive looked for a tutorial for this type of recoloring and couldnt find one any help would be appreciated.

That has some templates for objects, but alot of objects don't have a template available. You could make your own, but that would most likely take a while if you were just putting coloured stripes everywhere tofind out what goes where. Maybe you could extract the mesh and open it in a uvmapper, which *could* possibly show you where the separate parts are located on the texture.
Of course, if the object has a subset you can just recolour that, but that may not cover what you're trying to do.

Youīll need a drawing program which letīs you work with different levels. I use a free program called Paint.net. (It has nothing to do with windows paint).
I just cut off the padded part of the chair, paste it into new window, add my texture to it and paste it back to the chair (but into different level), once everything is how I like it I connect all the levels back to one and save.

I have downloaded a recolor tutorial from the internet. The tutorial shows how to recolor a bed and how to put different new colors on the wood, pillows, and other parts of the furniture.
This tutorial might be what you are looking for? You need to have Adobe to read this (if you are using windows, you most likely have Adobe reader).

Is there a tutorial on how to use a uvmapper and how to recolor that way?

Umh donīt know. Might be. Guessing you need to try google it.

Oops, I didn't clarify it enough. I meant you could clone whatever you wanted to recolour, then extract the mesh and open that in a uvmapper.
