Recoloring Maxis Flooring

Is their a way I can edit a Maxis floor tile on photoshop (well borrow the colors)?

If that doesnt make sense, Im trying to make some road pieces but I cant get the original road colors to match my custom ones.

So I need a way to use the grey road on my new floors ;)

I hope that made sense to someone?

If you extract the textures using Homecrafter or SimPE, you can match the colour using the eyedropper tool.

As simsample says, you can use the eyedropper tool to get the exact same starting color.

Open Homecrafter. Clone the floor tile you hope to match. Close Homecrafter, open the file in SimPe and Export the texture.

Be aware that the game manages light & light colors a bit differently between some of the pieces -- walls, floor & probably road. Even if you start with the same color, they may not look the same in game.
