View Full Version : Is there a hack to make university cheerleaders stop cheering, or do I need to make one?

I don't have an account over at Sims2, because my Mom and I share the game. (I play when she isn't, and vice versa; or I'm an EP behind her so that I can use the older startup disk.) So that's the ONLY place I can't search for mods or post thread topics to ask about them. >.<

I recently had a cheerleader become playable by moving her into a Greek House I created and SHE*IS*DRIVING*ME*NUTS! She stops whatever she's doing and races off to cheer at someone sleeping!

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find a mod that changes this behavior. Does anyone know if:

1) A mod exists anywhere;
2) If it doesn't, is this a behavior that can be altered by making a mod;
3) Would it be something a beginner could change?

I've never done any mod creation, although I have scripting experience and some structured programming.

Thanks!

Also, I've gone into SimPe and pulled up the Sim to see if I could change things there, but nothing seems to effect whether or not she cheers. I discovered after she became playable, that her motives were "frozen". (She never lost any health, sleep, etc.) I used Dave Love's SeeThem2 to make her motives dynamic again, but now I have an issue with the lot where everything is breaking down. (Literally, someone uses a toilet, it clogs, they unclog it, the next person uses the toilet, it clogs. Someone uses the computer to write a paper, it blows up, they fix it, they play a game, it blows up, they fix it..)

Are the townies in University not supposed to be playable? I inducted her into a Greek House, and had her move in. That made her automatically playable.

I'll happily try to make a mod to fix the cheering, or to fix the static motives "bug" (if that's what it is) if anyone can give me some information about whether they've seen such a thing, and whether - in general - such a thing would be a good first project for a beginner.

Thanks!
