Okay, so, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to check a package in SimPE to see if it truly is recolorable? See, I downloaded a cross from Kevinshope and on the "overview" he says specifically to contact him about posting recolors (which does imply that the object is recolorable). However, hen I went and made said recolors, they will not show up in game! Therefore, I need to know how to check to see if said object can take recols, and how to correct it. Sorry if this is a really dumb question, but I've been dying to mark the different church seasons with this cross, and I'm at my wit's end here.

Thank y'all in advance,
Joselle

Hi Joselle - open simpe, go to the GMND (geometric node) and check if there is a line called tsDesign Mode Enabled. If it is not there then it is not recolourable. You can add that option - check adding a subset tutorial by ignorantBliss - go to her profile page to find the tutorial.

ugggg...I have never made an object before(and the tutorial to make the object recolorable assumes I have)...do I need to also extract the mesh before I can import it to make the new subset? I am now quite confused...

You'll do the same to the "extra" mesh, but with the mesh that is already in the package.

I mean, the tutorial is for add a new "recolour option" for a new subset. You have to do the same thing, but for the subset that is already in the package.
