I was wondering if any modders out there had dug into the music settings for Sim 3. Specifically the volume settings. The game music seems to be about right while I'm playing but I stuffed some custom music into the folder and it plays but at a barely discernible level even set to high volume.

I would love to dig into the guts of Sim 3 but I'm a die-hard Mac user and search as I might I've yet to come across any tools for that kind of work.

Any responses will be appreciated.

P.S. I've already used iTunes to set my .mp3 volume levels to +100%. Not much help.

TIA;

@jcarent

hey, I thought I was the only one who have this problem whenever I used custom channels. I've tried tweaking everything - improving speakers or wiring house with speakers... also tried options but none works.

perhaps by now someone here could help us.

any solutions guys???? would really appreciate any suggestions.... thank you

Curious :) Are you running a PC or Mac? I wonder if this is only a Mac problem since that's what I'm running. BTW; even with wired throughout the house I have to be in close in the room with the stereo to hear the music. I've gone into iTunes and tweaked the volume and loudness of the MP3's I play to max and its still very faint. :cry: Hope someone can figure out what's going on.

I have the same problem, and I'm playing on Windows XP 32 bit.
