Free modelling software?

From modthesims wiki, I read a list of 3D modelling software. Google SketchUp was also on the list, but the description said "get a real program".

This makes me wonder. Why is not Google SketchUp considered "a real program"?

Well, it's not really made for the kind of 3D modelling that you need to do for games. It's more for sketching with polygons, not intensive low-poly modelling and mapping. Additionally, the free version will not export in any format you can use in anything -but- Sketchup, and the pricey version is just not worth it when you can get free/cheap programs that do much more.

Hay! ^^; do i need anything other than a graphic image program 2 create re colors for sim objects???

Look at some of the recolor tutorials and it will tell you what you need.
