Saving Game options & DL content (Sims 3)

i need suggestions/help with the following:

1.when i shut the game out and restart i have to Re-install my downloaded content.

2. any in-game options ex: (edge scrolling, improving graphics,& sim free will) do not save. So i have to tweak them every time i start the game.


Any help would be Appreciated!!!
