SORRY, ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION. INCASE ANYONE IS WONDERING, THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE OF WHERE THE STAIRS FALL IN THE CATALOG. I JUST TRIED ALL THE STAIRS AND FOUND ONE EVENTUALLY THAT WORKED.
ADMINS - FEEL FREE TO DELETE THIS POST.
I'm having a problem placing modular stairs on my split level lot. Cannot place top landing.
I'm running the game from a 2nd user account in Windows XP. This account has a default "My Documents" folder--no cc.
I did not replace the Modular Stair script file that has all my custom stairs in it. Since there are no package files for them in the Downloads folder, I see a bunch of "no pic" thumbs in the catalog. No biggie--I just pick the Maxis stairs. But when I try to place them, I get "cannot place top landing."
Is the script file causing my problem?
Contrainfloorelevation is OFF. (Though I did use the cheat to build the house)
