I know that you can delete/restore the pre-made neighborhoods, but can you use sort of the same method to add a second of the same pre-made? For example, I am playing out Pleasantview but my daughter wants to play them also. I would just try it, but I'm afraid to mess something up. Thanks!

The easiest thing to do would be to set up a second account on the computer for your daughter and let her play her own set of neighborhoods with her own user files.
However, you can set up a second iteration of Pleasantview in the same user files by fooling the game into thinking it is a different neighborhood.
1) For safety's sake, create a backup of your user files (My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2).
2) Rename your current My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 to The Sims 2 bak and start the game. This will re-generate all user files.
3) Take the newly-generated N001 from the newly-generated The Sims 2/Neighborhoods folder and run a batch re-name of all the files inside to replace N001 with a different neighborhood number not in use (like N123). You need to replace that value in EVERY file name as well as the parent folder. (Use a utility like the Batch Rename Utility (http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/) to do this.)
4) Drop your new N123 folder inside the Neighborhoods folder in The Sims 2 bak.
5) Delete the The Sims 2 folder in My Documents and rename The Sims 2 bak back to The Sims 2.
