View Full Version : Why is the Headmaster ALWAYS a no show!?

I just recently started playing Sims 2 again, and I've encountered a problem with getting my child into Private School.
I've been inviting the Headmaster the day I want him to come over for dinner. Every time I call, he will say that he will be coming over at 5PM. HOWEVER, every time 5PM comes by, the Headmaster does not show up.
I did try the Headmaster scenario one time, but he left because he was hungry. I did save the game afterward, and I am not sure if that is the reason why the Headmaster is a no show. I also just downloaded the update patch. I've continued to ask the Headmaster to come over, but he still accepts the invitation, and does not arrive.
What should I do? :(

He may be stuck somewhere on the lot but is invisible. Get Simblender and check if you can teleport him away with it. If he was still there, try to invite him again. Otherwise: After you've made sure, that he's not on the lot use the cheat "boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true". Hit the shift key and click onto the mailbox than. There's a teleport menu where you can make the headmaster appear.

General - Do the Game Problem FAQ
You appear to have not gone through our main Game Help:Game Problem FAQ. Please go through and do the steps on this FAQ, including any others that it links to (for example the Game Help:Game Problem-Problem Custom Content FAQ).
Usually, in the vast majority of cases, actually going through and doing the steps (doing, not just reading) fixes issues - sometimes you may be asked to remove custom content, or to patch - please rest assured that all of our FAQs have been tested by our staff and volunteers and we wouldn't suggest you do something unless it's been known to fix particular issues.
Please do all the steps in the game problem faq and then let us know what happens.
On occasion you might be asked to do a long FAQ - please make sure you do all the steps and don't just skip over them. You'll often find that these long FAQs have all the details you need. If nothing in the above FAQs fixes your problem you may post again detailing exactly which you have done and which steps failed.

There is also a "batbox" ffs debugger over at MATY that allows you to "nuke" the Headmaster scenario controller and restore an AWOL Headmaster. Be carefull with it, though, as misusing it can mangle things you don`t *want* mangled. I`m sure someone can post a link to it for you; I got my copy from a direct-download link in someone`s post here at MTS, and don`t know the thread`s URL.
For the batbox to work correctly in this situation, I`m pretty sure that you have to save and reload the lot after the nuke operation, so don`t be surprised if just nuking it without save/reload doesn`t help.
