Single Foot Mesh?

This is actually my first time doing anything with meshing, so bear with me.
What would be the easiest way to take an accessory mesh that covers both feet, and remove one side so it's a one foot mesh?

Can you explain exactly what you're trying to make? In Sims 2, feet are part of the body mesh, not an accessory. If you wanted to make an amputee sim with only one foot, you'd need to modify a body mesh to remove one foot and close up the hole in some way, but the sim would still walk and act as if they had a foot - it'd just be invisible.

What I'm trying to make is an ankle cast, using a boot mesh found on here. I know there are cast meshes on this site, however I wanted my sims to be able to wear this with anything.
