So I'm working on starting a new "Build-A-City" challenge, and I've created my founding Sims. I plopped them all on a lot and gave each a photo session.

And I fell in love with this guy already. His name's Robin, and he's a vampire. (My vampires look human. I prefer it that way.) But he's the shyest, nicest vampire ever, with 10 nice points and 0 outgoing points. (I love randomly generating personalities! :D) So this pose was perfect for his personality, and I had to have it for his profile pic for the website I'm creating to document this challenge.

Then I was feeling artsy, and I decided that I wanted to see if I could make this image (and one each for my other founders) look more like a photo of an actual person. Of course I had to do Robin's first because I was in love with him already, and here's the result. (The blank space will eventually be filled in with his info.):

This is, of course, heavily Photoshopped, especially because the video card of the laptop I play on can't render smooth edges. *laughs* It's color-corrected, "warmed," textured, shadowed/highlighted for dimensionality and mood, blurred, burned/dodged, and then glowed and sharpened again, etc. You name it, I did it. ;)

So I pretty much had to uninstall my sims again due to computer problems -- So here's one of the first sims to make it into my downtown neighborhood: Takuya. :)
Still having issues with the game, but hopefully I'll find a way to work the kinks out.

His role is similar to Nervous Subject's. He's also based on a downloadable sim whose name or creator I just can't remember.

I named him Adlei Alhazred, in case it wasn't clear he's supposed to be evil (google "Alhazred" :rolleyes: ). My goal is to make him be hated by everybody in the neighborhood.

I mean, when a sim uses a telescope during the day, they spy their neighborhoods. And if they get caught, they are always visited by the first created sim in the neighborhood, right? I decided to have some fun with that fact, and put a mean, evil character in that role. So I made this guy. I'm also gonna build a creepy altar in his basement.

Harris Hawkins, the sweetest, ugliest, inexplicably sexiest sim in Drama Acres. Note the eyes big enough to drown a pig in, the jutting cheekbones, and the elephant ears; not to mention the Sedentary Executive Gut. Most of the women in the neighborhood are at two bolts with him; many are at three. Men have been consulting him on matters of the heart since college. He's CEO of a matchmaking service.

We see him here holding his nephew, by marriage, Eugene Newson - who, like him, has 10 nice points. Normally it's women who wander into your nursery and stand still holding the babies and looking wistful for hours, but his wife Gabriella is still in the hot tub. Harris is a Fortune sim, but he was primary caregiver for his little sister Pigeon when they were growing up, and even before I got Freetime and bowed to the inevitable by giving him a Family secondary aspiration, he was coming home from work every night his son was a toddler desperate to play peek-a-boo. When he visited another of the Newson clan with a toddler, everybody else was dancing and he sat in the corner with her as she played with her bunny. She talked about engagements with him.

This is Harris coming home from work. Last night he got about two hours sleep because Gabriella got all frisky and they went on a dream date, the clock on which hadn't run down when he had to wake up to get to work. Immediately after this shot he took the dream date flowers to the door. He wants another baby and she doesn't, but it's a principle of his that those decisions get made by the women because they're the ones going through the pain and suffering while the men get all the good bits. If she doesn't throw up a have-a-baby want soon, I'm going to have him start looking through the telescope every night.

Dear heaven, but I love this sim!

He's a Knowledge sim, but he would have made an excellent Popularity sim. His usual mode of operations when set loose on a community lot is to attempt to befriend everyone he meets, then hug them. He actually has a somewhat positive reputation, which is quite an achievement considering that his personality stats are 10/9/8/0/0.

Estebanico is one of the more complex characters in Drama Acres. He started life out of CAS as a Romance teen, the oldest of a large Guasimalan immigrant family. He spent a week in an overcrowded apartment (grandparents, parents, teen sister, child brother, toddler sister in a two-bed, one-bath), and was constantly in the red because he has nine neat points. The only way to handle such a large family in a one-bath apartment is to send people to public lots with showers and toilets - and he was completely phobic about public restrooms! He also has no nice points (randomized personality in CAS), and his macho style didn't go over well with the teen ladies of Drama Acres. Life improved in college, where he got into the frat and a Romance upperclasswoman took him in hand. In junior year, he woke up to his responsibilities and took on the Family aspiration that is expected of Guasimalan men (that or Finance; the other aspirations are too feminized or immature for his self-respect). Which didn't mean he stopped sleeping around; just that he didn't sleep with the woman he intended to marry. He set to work on Tosha Go while she was a freshman (all autonomous at a sorority party; it was like watching a snake charm a bird), got engaged, graduated, got a job, slept around, and now that they're finally married and honeymooning at Twikkii Island - he couldn't do anything with her on the first night! It was perfect. Really he was too tired, but for character purposes he'd internalized the whole virgin/whore dichotomy to the point where it completely crippled him in bed with a Good Girl. Fortunately Tosha is a psych major and had plenty of chance to observe Bad Girls at the sorority. Now she's only his wife outside the bedroom...I'm interested to see where it goes from here, playing with a light hand on his reins and leaving him as much self-determination as possible.

Also, Estebanico doesn't do birth control and Tosha loves cheesecake...Enjoy a little peace with the womrat, Estebanico. While you can.

I really like the way Oliver grew up. He was born in-game from two CAS sims, and from some angles he's ugly and from others I could look at him all day.

He can have eyeglasses in a medieval hood if you want, though you may want to create custom ones that look more old-fashioned. The earliest record of eyeglasses in the modern sense (though magnification was used in Classical times) is in an early 14th century sermon and the earliest picture is circa 1350. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasses#Precursors

Ernest's teen-age son Frank reassures Gene's YA daughter Polly Esther that her old man's going to be fine and the kid will be more or less normal. Frank has a younger half-sister who was born with no nose, but since Gene's hooked honker is clearly dominant there's a good chance that his offspring will have the wherewithal to support the corrective lenses necessary to make schoolwork designed for non-alien eyes clearly readable.

It took several tries to get a look I liked for Jay, who mysteriously lost the wavy hair of teendom in favor of a mullet when he came to college.

Leo Goldblum again. He recently destroyed Ramir Patel's marriage (conveniently after Ana gave birth, so they could keep the kid without having to adopt, plus she was kind of negligent and was trying to have it off with the landlord).

:D Eric Dawhalia as a teen! Little brother to Emily Dawhlia who I put into the female sims thread.

Eric hasn't entirely found himself yet.. Not sure what he wants to do with his life. He did have a go at gardening once.. That didn't turn out too well because he didn't pay enough attention to it, hopefully it'll work out for the next harvest.

He's so damn cute haha! This is him after the family vacation.

And the other pic is of him cooking hamburgers :P His mum in the background had just made Chilli Corn Carne and was going to serve it when he wanted to have a go at cooking himself.

Meet Surt Beaker, who is currently in the middle of reading everyone in town's email on his mother-in-law's computer. He's been sticking his (in his opinion, magnificent Beaker)nose into everyone's business since childhood; anyone who's ever chatted with him online has found their computer breaking down soon afterwards.

He's just as social as his twin brother, but he's social in the same way that their mother is: when he's on a community lot, he also talks to everyone... but only until he's found out something about them, then he walks off to greet his next target. If Circe's around -- and of course she's been doing the same sort of information-gathering -- they'll regroup and gossip for hours. No wonder his Aunt Erin was so stressed out while he was living with her that she had to be cheered up by everyone she visited.

As a result, he doesn't have many friends that aren't related to him either by blood or by marriage. Apparently he's rather difficult to take; people feel watched, they think he's creepy, or maybe they just don't like how he steals their newspapers and rifles through their email. He doesn't care. That's their problem.

His closest friend -- other than his wife Verity -- is Test, whom he's known since childhood. Their friendship is something that his mother Circe likes to pretend doesn't exist, just like how she chooses to ignore the other ways that "the Subject"'s family has made its way back into her own. That's her problem, though.

Lucas Iana stops by the residence of his friend Sharla to greet her brother Tommy, express condolences over the death of his girlfriend, and size him up as a potential Urele-Oresha-Sham. Tommy, a Knowledge sim fixated on the idea of learning enough about life, death, and the universe to bring Spring back from the dead, isn't interested. (I know Ottomases are attractiveness-challenged, but WTF? Tommy wasn't a bad looking teen but this new YA face will take some getting used to. If his arc goes as expected, he'll withdraw more and more, and I'll gradually shag him out till you can't see him under the hair. If he meets somebody who can snap him out of the obsession, though, I don't know how I'll signal that he's taking an interest in making him presentable again - he looks too much like somebody who never sleeps or shaves!)

So, this was my current Sim of the moment: Tyrone Gibbs.

He married Dina Caliente (with her married name being Dina Caliente-Gibbs) and they had four children - Dakota Michael, Skylar Grace, Parker McKenna and Kendall Allen. (Parker McKenna, the 3rd child, is Tyrone's daughter with Pollination Technician.)

Unfortunately, the save file got jacked up and the Gibbs family is no more. :cry:

So getting married when both he and his favorite girlfriend got pregnant wasn't all that traumatic; but now they've got two toddlers in the house so of course the sink is exploding. "What is it about the mere presence of toddlers that causes plumbing to explode? I've never visited anybody with a toddler that I didn't wind up fixing the sink! Where are my visitors? My friends owe me sink fixing!"

Well, they do get visitors, but somehow the sink never explodes when Ernest is around. Clovis was BFF with Ernest in college; then came that incident with Clovis dating Ernest's mom (which he's not going to apologize for because Ernest's mom is amazing and he should be proud of her) and they had a falling out. But Ernest was the first guy in the neighborhood to have an alien baby, so Clovis's pregnancy allowed them to patch up, and having the Munnys over relieves a lot of the pressure of the toddler years.

Vicarious: Actually, Nino was the son of a one of the lesbian couples I had in my game. (he looked a lot like his mom). His mom had him from a one night stand and her partner had two kids from a failed marraige. I extracted him via sim surgery.

Men! Estebanico Casa, on the left; frat brother and housemate since graduation, Jim Spitzig, on the right. Estebanico's pregnant wife in the next room. The night Jim moved in they had a fight over a mutual girlfriend, the day Estebanico got married Jim fielded the call from Estebanico's previous night's date that came in the middle of reception, and in a moment Jim's speech bubble will contain the cheating symbol with no big red X through it. Jim's being encouraged to stay on, since Mrs. Casa's having twins and they'll need the extra pair of adult hands, but all things considered, I think Estebanico ought to think twice about leaving them alone together in the house if he doesn't want to wind up supporting any redheaded babies.

In a moment, as the cop tries and fails to actually bring the perp in, Merlin and his wife will stand around gushing hearts and making sizzling sounds at each other instead of paying attention.

I'm not sure why he looks so evil here- he's got 5 Nice points, so he wasn't planning to throw the ball AT her. I don't know what aspiration he's going to be yet... when he was a toddler he requested people to read to him all the time. Now that he's a child, though, he's started taking interest in the lemonade stand.

Hi Thyme. Since I'm having to include bland townie and premade faces in my gene pool, I thought I'd better make sure that the father of the girls I introduced to address a shortage had extreme features, and he came out satisfactorily cartoony. The rule for playing Hi, a Pleasure sim whose four daughters had three different mothers, is that he's a bit of a feckless drifter who only learns by experience - he can't read to get, for example, the mechanical skill he needs to advance in his construction job. So I had him tinker with the shower till it exploded so he could fix it. His teen daughters, all more mature than him, are way too tidy and never clog the toilet, which is normally where the first mechanical point comes from.

George, the handsome Hawkins boy, arriving at Sim State. He's the son of the only core-family sim to refuse the chance to go to college and Ginger Newson. Cooper is marvelously cartoony, but Ginger is - well, you've seen Ginger. All through high school I worried that he took after the Newson side too much, but as a YA his father's stronger features are coming into their own and adding some more rugged elements to his face. (What is with noses doubling in size at the teen/YA transition?)

Lucas, on the left, is talking to the next prospective Urele-Oresha-Sham, Daniel Kim, aka Tricou #1EB. He looks okay in front view, but the way that nose turns down is a bit of a shock in profile, especially when he's being expressive and pursing his lips. And here I thought all the Tricous were too good-looking!

He is a shadowy figure, with a black cape, eerie black-and-white hair, and stitched-up scars worming all over his body with the most prominent being across his face. Black Jack cures patients indiscriminately, from common folk, to presidents, to yakuza leaders, though he charges all of his patients absurdly high sums. This has given him a reputation for callousness and greed that he cultivates gleefully.

Note: He doesn't wear those bunny ears (and tail) in the anime or manga but for some mysterious reason, they are kind of stuck to him in the game.

Tibast, who is very neat and what more, he only has one nice point. He wants to be a criminal sim. Also, he wanted to inherit money from his parents. And, he lectured his sister's baby before he got a bottle for her. If somebody don't like it, it's their problem.
Tibast does not care what people say, he will not agree with them anyway.

Gene Skirt had three grown daughters with his wife Lacy, a research position at the University, five days left to elderhood, and no patience for warnings about the consequences of looking through telescopes. He needed to do it for work and the viewing is just right in his back yard. When he got abducted, he at first refused to believe that he'd been the subject of the same procedure the guy up the hill and that womanizing sumbitch downtown did. When it became clear that, little sense as it made, he was going to have an alien baby, he decided to make the best of it and designed a research protocol for dealing with it. And then the kid was born. A boy. He's got a son. A son who inherited his nose. And ten perfect fingers and toes. After all those girls, he's got a son!

He's very careful and scientific, measuring and recording and modifying the recipes the guy up the hill gave him into proper alien baby formulas expressed in metric terms rather than dollops and dashes. But the plan to keep Dior in the controlled environment of the nursery and not let him take over the house like an ordinary baby - that's out the window.

Meanwhile, further down the hill, another late-life baby grows to toddler at the same time his mother grows to elder. Billy Ghote's mother and first wife would never let him do anything with his (now grown, with a baby of her own) daughter Billie, but his second wife is actively grateful when he does things with the kid. And William is quite the fine little boy, if Billy does say so himself!

In the post-makeover pic, it appears that William takes after his mother more than his father - that definitely seems to be her cameloid lip-nose conformation - and Billy is surprised to find that he's glad. Luz's family don't approve of him, but they're less likely to hold that against William if he reminds them of their Mama instead of the man he knows perfectly well they call The Sleazebag behind his back, though they haven't caught him going out with anybody else since William was born. The kid's personality is almost identical to Billy's, and that's good enough for him!

When I attached La Fiesta Tech to my ´hood, some of the pre-mades there needed partners so I created it for them. These three guys have all been in my game for a long time now, and I have posted pics of their children, but not of them, until now that is.

I went into the Beaker household just long enough to bring the inhabitants into line with the weather and local culture. General Buzz imposes military standards on the research staff, so Loki had to lose the beard, but he looks almost as evil with a shaved head. And I didn't buy Nervous any new everyday clothes, but felt his undies needed a bit of upgrading. And, c'mon, you don't really think he troubles to get dressed every morning?

Oddly, the moment Merlin Hawkins relaxed about looking professional, he was hired as Project Leader at the Drama Acres Entymology Foundation, thanks to his independent work on unobtainium-caused mutations in the local insect fauna. He's been trying and trying for a science job since the day he graduated, and now it finally pays off. He and his wife Georgia aren't going to be home at the same time for awhile, though - he won't like that.

Castor Nova Stacks. Now that his youngest daughter is about to enter middle school, he's achieved his dream of becoming a game designer, and he's developed the moral fiber to resist the charms of a woman who was coming onto him really hard when he was bored, he feels like he's finally finished growing up and it's probably time he got a haircut. Previous to this I could never let him out of the hair he had in college because the alternatives either made him look too steady and mature or accentuated the boyish prettiness of the face to where I wouldn't be able to tell him from various other boyishly pretty premades. Now he's finally earned the more mature look. He's still too pretty, though. I think I'm going to turn him bald as an egg when he hits elder. Or maybe give him the comb over.

Alexander, after a rough night of reclaiming the Goth throne, decides that he needs to clean up. He doesn't live in trash anymore, and he certainly feels he doesn't need to look like it.

(I love weather faces. :lol:)

He runs a restaraunt with his little brother, who you can see here (http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?p=3878967#post3878967) with their sister (Harry's the oldest, then Maxine, then Art.) The brothers live together in a brownstone and are huge slobs! They've got enough money for a maid, but neither one of them has rolled the want to hire one. He looks serious, but he's a Pleasure secondary and loves to drink... a lot. He also really enjoys fishing at the park when he can find the time, preferably with a buddy or two. Because he's a new sim, I'm still getting to know him, so there's not much else to say.

My create a Sim Grant Napa. He used to live alone with his dog Flower in the hidden cabin in Pleasantview until he met Cassandra Goth. They fell in love. He moved in. (I don't know why Calvin did this. He just went up and decided that he needed to relax on Ponsy's bed. While he was sleeping. Creepy weirdo).

Yep! Gerry built his house across the street from Hawkins Prime and Harris is down on the corner of Poore and Easy, with two lots (reserved for the twins) between him and Hawkins Prime. He's got four little sisters and a little brother himself, a ways downslope, so it's not like he doesn't know what he's in for.

Member Pan Gallo. He looks a bit intimidating here due to his eyebrows, but he's pretty easygoing, if not a bit lazy. I also found out he's gay. A lot of male denizens of Academie seem to have rolled gay/bisexual for some reason. I found at least three gay male dormies so far. Trust me, I had nothing to do with it. All I did was make some frat houses.

The youngest, Eckhard. He is remarkably different from his grouchy-neat sociable brothers, in that he is the nicest slob you'll ever meet. Only to the other sims in his dorm, and his brother Ulysses, who was not surprised at all.

Lance Point hits his growth spurt. Sagittarius (per Cyjon the sexiest star sign), son of two Romance sims, and scion of the Hawkins family, he really had no choice but Romance. He likes curvy girls with glasses, but not blondes. I may change his LTW - it came up "professional party guest," but his OTH is sports and his parents are both basketbase players, so I'm kind of set on the idea of him going for the Hall of Fame.

This is Nostrum Hot Pants. As you can tell, I was bored and fooled around with his name, but now, I regret it. Nostrum was never meant to be a serious, live-until-you-die Sim for my neighborhood, I hadn't planned on him becoming the official founder. But somehow, he grew on me, and I ended up keeping him around. Despite having nearly 0 nice points, he's actually not that big a jerk as you'd think he'd be, and he actually makes a good daddy. ;)

I'm thinking the same thing. It must be bored people doing that to make this thread "out of boredom" or fun or making others feeling baffled or curious why their pics got disagree buttons in 'trolling' way, even though their pics are indeed gorgeous, unique, very well-made, something like that.. The same thing also happened to female pics.

Anyway I'm stunned all of male pics on here are absolutely hot! :gjob: Some are more into 'cartoony', but the pics do tell the unique side of the characters. Very well-done!
