Firstly, I'd like to say a big thanks to joninmobile for giving permission for me to do this to his cactus. :) I also want to thank Fresh-Prince for making the initial discovery of CC in CAW (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=416262), and Encloped for suggesting it was a way of getting the Twinbrook objects into CAW (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=417382) which got me interested.

This is a version of jon's A prickly cactus found under trees that works in CAW, made for rian90 for her desert world Mimosa, but I thought other people might find a use for it too. Currently I've only uploaded one size of cactus with three differently coloured flowers (pink, white and yellow.) I'm going to make a slightly smaller version as well though.

The three objects will show up in the CAW metadata under the name SleepAllDay_TNW_CAWCactus(colour) because I wanted it to stand out so that you realise you're using CC.

Unfortunately, the only way that these objects work is to install them in sims3pack. This means that they will attach themselves to the exported world files that you use them in. You can remove them using CUSTARD (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=390235) and then tell downloaders to install the objects themselves if you wanted. If you remove the cacti from your exported world with CUSTARD and the downloaders don't install the cacti there will be an empty space where you placed it.

UPDATE: GiLaNg has found a way of getting package files to show up in CAW. Follow the instructions in the update part of his post here. (http://www.modthesims.info/showpost.php?p=3307626&postcount=90) The advantage of this is that package files will not attach themselves to exported worlds. Downloaders just need to install these packages as they do any other package file. They don't need to install it the CAW way. They work the same as sims3packs. If the downloader doesn't have the package installed, there will just be a blank space in the world whey the cacti had been placed.

I've attached three pics at of the cacti, nightime, daytime and evening. I can make more if you want though, I just wasn't really sure what to take a picture of.

Well, I don't take requests and I have a lot of other projects I'm working on at the moment and I'm also starting University in a couple of weeks. So I don't have any immediate plans to do so, no.

Here in the wiki (http://www.simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_3:0x319E4F1D#Showing_Objects_In_World_Editor_Catalog) scroll down to the bit about showing objects in Word Editor and CAW Catalog.

Becca, Just wanted to let you know that the cacti worked fine in CAW but did not show up in the game or in Edit in Game. I put them in the package file within the CAW program files folder. The other items I put in there (Twinbrook items) work fine. I know you are busy but just wanted to let you know they did not work for me. Thanks though for trying!

Edit: Okay, I was able to get them to show up in Edit in Game and I am assuming they will also show in the game. I simply had to also put the files in the My documents Sims 3 package folder as well. They look great!!

Yeah sorry I didn't explain properly in the first post. You need to have them installed as with any other CC for them to show up in game. The Twinbrook stuff is different because it isn't really CC. I can't remember about EIG.
