Not sure if I'm allowed to ask technical questions that aren't to do with sims or this site but I didn't find anything that said not to.
Our PS3 just randomly out the blue stopped working. It's not been banged or had anything spilled on it. It's not been used and abused, my husband only plays it every other week for a couple of hours. It just stopped working. It looks like it turns on at the console, the lights come on but nothing comes up on the tv. All wires etc have been triple checked. He tried it on the other telly and a message came up about the resolution of the device not being supported. (It's been used on that telly before when it used to be our main telly). My husband says he thinks it's the solid blue light problem and seems convinced there's nothing we can do to fix it but I just thought I'd ask if anyone here has ever heard of a fix before we completely give up and bin it. We only got it around last June/July and it only had a 1yr warranty so we can't expect any help from Sony
I've heard of planned obselescence but sellingn something at extortionate prices that completely dies as soon as the warranty runs out is bullsh!t and if that's the case I won't be giving another penny to Sony :wtf:
