hi; i have a simple questtion: I'm cureently frankesteining a mesh & i want to use some adultmale parts on a adultfemale body mesh. Is there a technical problem. cause, i once added a teen female part to an adult female & when I looked in bodyshop, her arms &hands looked long like an alien. Any help appreciated.

The reason the adult female looked like an alien might have been that you had an extra teen skeleton in the mesh.

You can certainly add parts from an adult male mesh. Start by importing an adult female mesh, then you can import the male mesh you want to get parts from on top of it. You need to make sure you do not import additional bone definitions (if presented with that option). Additional bone definitions are bad things in making body meshes. After that you can Frankenstein parts to get the look you want. Best of luck :)

Edited because dyslexia plus sinus infection does not equal English

No problem. I should probably add that you can Frankenstein to your heart's content, but you need to make sure not to touch the ring of vertices on top of the neck in full body meshes (in separates you also have to worry about the waist).

If you want to end up with an adult female mesh you need these neck vertices to match the maxis adult female mesh. If you use a male top and frankenstein and alter it or whatever, you do need to use extended manual edit or wes h's vertex and normal data merge tools to make sure the neck vertices on your mesh line up with the neck vertices on the Maxis mesh of the correct age and gender. It will have ugly neck gaps and shadows otherwise.

Sorry I forgot to mention that before.

Hello kalynn06: I understand exactly what you mean. I'm gld you mention that since, I usually try not to touch that last ring but, it's easy to forget especially on a long session of milkshake. It's great to have help when one is a newbie like myself. Thanks again for help.
