View Full Version : Sims Constantly Worry over Simbot Baby?

I have Sims 3, Ambitions, World Adventures and Late Night. I think this is an Ambitions problem though as it started when I had a Simbot baby. The only mod I'm using is Woohooer and the Woohooer Scoring.

My household consisted of Elder Female, Adult Female, Child Female, Male Simbot (elder)

Basically I used the My Best Friend Lifetime reward to get a Male simbot. He built a romantic relationship with the adult female who "bought" him and she got pregnant. The night before she gave birth I noticed the Maid freaking out with the worry animation and my pregnant sims face popping up in her thought bubble. At time I thought, "That's funny, she doesn't like me having a half-simbot baby" and moved on. Next day we had the baby and named her Glitch. She looks like a normal baby but crys with a mix of baby and simbot sounds. She also has simbot motives, and little simbot sounds even when she isn't crying.

All seemed normal until the baby's motives get low. Anything under 40% seems to send the entire family into a tizzy! They all stand around the crib moaning with the worry animation (Screaming, grabbing their hair, flailing their arms, biting their nails) and the baby's face in their thought bubbles. After many resetsims I finally got the dad simbot to actually pick up poor Glitch and take care of her. Now wether Glitch is unhappy or not, randomly my other sims will fixate on another sim on the lot (Mostly Glitch, but will also fixate on the other adults) and worry over and over about them, ignoring their own motives until I resetsim them or they passout/pee themselves/ get into the red.

Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix?

Oh. My. God. The Cybermen are making human/robot hybrids again! Call the Doctor!

Well, I did some Googling and the only thing I can find is a mod to stop Sims from queue-dropping to gawk at Simbots ("Ooooh a Simbot! Let me stand here and starve to death because a rusty hunk of metal has sentience!"), but nothing to make them stop worrying about them. I don't know, maybe I didn't Google hard enough. Or maybe some Sims find Simbots as creepy as I do.

I got the same non-results from google-ing before posting here. It's like the babybot is pulsing WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING to all other sims on the lot, its driving me nuts! Could be unrelated to the baby but I've been playing this same family/hood for a week now and it didn't start until my mom sim got pregnant from the simbot. Everything was downhill from there, lol. Though I have to say the babybot looks and sounds adorable!

Maybe create a new family and cheat your way to a quick simbot and repeat what you did to make the baby to see if the problem repeats itself?

If it doesn't then its something else in your game causing it, if it does then maybe there is something a modder could fix.

Is it possible they are just doing the annoying reaction to a simbot, due to Glitch being half simbot. I don't know how many times my sims cancel out any action I give them to do because of a simbot is near them.

So I saved my family and started a new neighbored, this time Sunset Valley instead of the new NL one. I got a new sim and new simbot and had another hybrid babybot. This time there were no issues, so I moved my old crazy family into this new hood and they have stopped their crazy behavior. Perhaps it is an issue with the new NL neighbored + Simbots?

Use Twallan's Story Progression and there should be an option to allow simbot pregnancy and aging

Use MasterController and there should be an option to allow simbot pregnancy and aging

Actually I'm pretty sure it's Story Progression and not Master Controller
