I'm attempting to create a tiara for my sailor moon sim. I got the mesh done and created a texture that I'm almost happy with. But when I tried to edit the alpha layer to show only the part of the texture i want to, it's not showing up in bodyshop preview. Am I doing something wrong? I attached a screen shot of bodyshop as well as the texture and alpha files (saved as jpegs since .bmps apparently cant be uploaded) If you need anything else let me know.

Basically, your mesh doesn't know that it needs to be an alpha mesh, so it's displaying the whole texture (even the white part).
In SimPE, open your recolour file and look at the TXMT. In the lower window, click on the tab for "Categorized Properties". Under "Default Texture Blending", set the value for stdMatAlphaBlendMode to "blend" (it's probably set at "none" at the moment, which is why it's not recognizing your alpha file).

Thank you fakepeeps7! I'll go try that right now.
EDIT: OMG! It worked! Thank you so much!
