Weird Hair Color

I have a hair color question. My sims (Dad is Leighton Sekemoto, and has black hair, mom has red hair) have four children together. One has mom's hair, one is blond, and the two other were born with this weird brassy color. If I look at in in CAS, it's dark yellow.

Why do I keep getting that hair? I can't stand the color.

First of all, is it a colour that is a default colour? Sim 3 Sims have 10% chance of getting a default colour (one you don't make yourself, that you just click the button for), no matter the parent. It's kind of odd that two would get the same default colour though.
Also, does a grandparent have that colour? That would make more sense because two of the children have that colour. You can check the grandparent's colour if they are still alive (it turns black and white if they die) through the family tree button.

No, it's not a default color. Mom's hair isn't the default red, either. I changed it a bit.

The only person in the family tree is Leighton's mom, Yumi, and I assume she had black hair before she aged up.

Someone else described this as the "Green Hair Issue" and yes it's some kind of hidden premade colour set for random Sim generation. Looks a bit like toddler poo with spinach, doesn't it?
I think Pescado made a nogreenhair mod, but you'd have to look for it, it's not readily available at MATY.

Looking at the picture again, I think I am currently playing a custom world where the creator made the best out of it by giving every premade resident that colour. Nice idea, because now it looks like the default local flavour :)

According to the RTFM for the mod: "Eliminates unpleasant Puke Green hair color from being a randomly selected color on newly generated sims. Existing sims not affected."

So it sounds like no random generation of the color will occur, but direct inheritance from a parent with the color is still permitted.
