Many apologies if this issues has been resolved some elsewhere- have been looking for a solution to this problem for many days.
I am a new Mac user, and have installed The Sims 3 recently. I successfully installed some sims3packs, about 12- including a sim from this very site. Unfortunately- I have many more custom contents needing installed- and whenever I click to install one the installation screen stops responding, and either remains black or stalls loading with a small smidge of the loading bar filled. I installed those 12 pieces of custom content the same day the issues started occurring. They are just simple items from ATS3.
If there is anyone willing to help, your assistance would be much appreciated. If I have placed this request in the wrong category, or if this issues has already been resolved elsewhere- again, apologies.
I'm using a 15-inch 2.0 GHz MacBook Pro
The custom .package files run nicely and I can still play the game, I just wish these new custom contents could be added. Somehow.
UPDATE: I transferred all those sims3packs to my PC and converted them to .package folders using a converter tool- .rar'ed them up and sent them back to my Mac. I extracted them, but their icons seemed to be strange grey folders with a little exec written in the top corner. But I didn't mind and stuffed them all into my Packages folder anyways. But now- when I start up The Sims 3- it settles on the introduction screen with the Sims 3 logo. I haven't been able to advance farther. Is it the exec files? Or... did I install too many at once. There were well over 100 of them...
[edit] Hmmm, running the game with only the strange exec looking icons .packages revealed an issue. It looked promising until I loaded up a neighborhood- the game suddenly quite while it was loading... :faceslap:
