Can't see my sims babies

My sims gave birth to triplets and when she got home and took them to their cribs they turned into giant spikes. There is no face in the square bits at the left of the screen for each baby and I can't click on them because I can't see them. I have deleted and uninstalled as much as CC as I could but still no change. Please help!
