Boarding school?

I'm very confused at the moment. My generations works great expect for the moment I got my legacy spare married and moved him out into another household (the bride's) and stayed in mine. When I did this, the two kids that were in boarding school came home. It says they are enrolled in boarding school but they're walking around the house. Is this some kind of school vacation or a glitch? lol I'm not sure, but anyone have any ideas to get them back to boarding school?

I had the same issue with boarding school. I'm not sure if it's an EA bug or something to do with my save game (I trashed it because it was completely borked). I would try using the resetsim cheat and seeing if you can get the option to send them back or withdrawn them from school. You need to do something though, or that Sim will never be able to travel or look for a job (without cheats/mods) because the game will be convinced that they are still in boarding school (since they never officially left).

I've had a similar problem.
When I enrolled a child in boarding school, the taxi never came to pick them up, even though it said that they were in boarding school...

I've heard that when major family events, such as graduation and marriage of siblings or parents, they come home from boarding school. It's only supposed to be for a few days, but there seems to be a glitch where they never go back. I haven't had that problem yet, as the only kid I sent to boarding school hated it so much he wanted to come home and I let him.

Turn on Testingcheatsenabled and moveobjects. Go into buy mode and pick up the sim in question and press delete on your keyboard. The sims icon will go back to being gray and they will be considered at boarding school until the next time the bug occurs.
