I've decided to tackle the lingering problem with my transparent wall's diagonal version. It's actually a normal window that's the size of a diagonal wall, since the diagonal of the normal-sized transparent wall wasn't adequate for seamless windows. (Later on I planed on learning how to assign the second version as a real diagonal, but as long as the problem remains that's moot anyway.)
The lingering problem being, that the cutout that worked perfectly before is now back to the size of a straight wall :

That's after correcting the cutouts to DTX1 1bit alpha, to make up for the problems of the late night patch.
I've tried fiddling with diagonal settings in the grid in S3PE, with various interestingly weird results, but nothing altering the cutout, which I have no idea how to do. The cutout image is already fully transparent (black), and the previous versions seemed fine with this.
I'm pretty much at a loss what to do here, so any help would be really really welcome. :| .
