Consignment Register Question

When does the items change on the registers, is it supposed to respawn at certain or will a new item appear only you buy an item, thus opening that slot?

I only ask because my sims has been to the store three Sims days in a row and its always the same stuff.

I just ask cause I'm waiting for a certain item to spawn.

Hmm, mine *seems* to have new objects every day, though I haven't really looked that closely. Usually I'm looking for a specific item, so I'll just browse the list to see if it's there. It's quite possible that the items don't update until something is "purchased" by another sim in the neighborhood (assuming they buy/sell autonomously).

Usually I only have to wait a few days before the item I'm waiting for comes up (usually the expensive camera).
