View Full Version : Removing ambient music in buydebug mode?

The throne room music drives me batshot! I could mute all music in the options menu but there's some things like "baby" or "betrothal" event music I like, and doggone it, I like the Harry Potter-ish ambient music in the Wizard's Tower and the church music.

I went into "buydebug" and tried deleting the "AmbientNodeLocMusThrone" white box with a blue speaker icon and it wouldn't vanish! Moveobjects on cheat? No vanish. I tried moving it outside to the castle steps. It made the music a little quieter but I could still hear it inside the throne room, bedroom etc. Anyone else find a way to do this or is it "mute the music or suffer!" ?

Have you tried switching out the white music box n buydebug or builddebug for a different one?

It can't be switched, only moved .. sigh, I'll just live with it or hit mute.

why dont you just move it all outside?

I moved mine outside to the very front of the castle portico, as close to the cliff in the front of the castle as I could get it. It's not nearly as annoying as it was especially when someone is fiddling or playing with the music box. But it never really goes away. It doesn't go away because it's written into the code that when the castle is open, the music plays. Sorry about that.
