Ok, I have Sims 3 with:
World Adventures
Ambitions
Late Night
Generations
No mods and no custom content (only content from the store)

So, here's my problem:
My sims won't age! I can fast-forward through 4 days and my sims will still have the same amount of days before aging up as they did beforehand. I have aging on and I can age them up through the birthday cake and the cheat obviously. But, the cake DOESN'T work with toddlers, children or teens. I don't know if that's just me or nobody can use the cake on them so I'd appreciate you telling me if you know.

I know it's not a big deal but it's kinda annoying having to use the cheat all the time to age up Sims, so does anyone know what the problem is? :(

Check your in-game options, make sure ageing is enabled and set to something sensible.

Does this happen in all savegames? What about if you start a new game? Drag documents\ Electronic Arts\ The Sims 3 to the desktop and run the game. Does the problem occur now in a fresh game?

Lack of aging is a known bug introduced with Generations. It's caused by a bug in the MidlifeCrisis code (there might be additional causes) that will cause the aging manager to choke. Some sims will still age, but it probably happens before it comes to sims you can see.

You can try to use my Aging Manager mod. It replaces some EAxian code and traps the error when it occurs, so it's limited to the affected sim(s) and doesn't cause *all* sims to stop aging. If you don't want to use mods, you will probably have to wait for EA to fix it.
