Hi everyone. As the title, I've a problem with a texture taken from Resident Evil 5. I made the Jill Valentine's Battlesuit, but the problem is that the outfit looks made by leather. Instead, in the RE5 texture, is evident the texture is made by plastic or tire.
For a better explanation, I put two images.
This is my creation:

And this is the original from the game:

The problem is: why this happens, if the texture file is the same?
A last notice: I've replaced with the texture file even the Specular map, the Alpha Map and the Diffuse map, and I made empty the Normal Map

Help, please, this is my first creation

There isn't much you can do about it, since all textures in Sims 3 will look blurrier than in the actual file. The texture in the reference pic is generated using totally different game engine, it's also bigger and more detailed than the one you are using for Sims 3.
In Sims 3, the texture for clothes is very small, but you can try making bump map (normal map) with similar tire texture and apply it to your suit. You will also need matching specular for it to look good. It won't look that awesome as the original, but at least the effect will be similar.

Why not try using a different material? Like a leather of cloth one. Instead of using the solid color one.

Or use a bigger texture size :)

If youe recolourable mask works properly you should be able to pick up a leather pattern in CAS and recolour it to blue
