I'm trying to make a car on Sims 3, Im almost there I just need to move the joints to match up with wheel axles. I can see the position of the joints in SimPe but it wont let me change anything. Every time I do a search I come up with Sims 2 nightlife cars. If I can get this to work I have a Microbus and a Karmann Ghia that I want to make for the Sims 3 also. Thanks for your help.
Also, can I add chrome to my cars, or was that left out for a reason?

You need the test version of s3pe, then edit the rig.

You want to look at the "bones" tab, they should all be named something that should tell you which ones are the wheels. You should see a position tab with x, y, z values. you should only have to alter the x values, a positive number for moving it right and negative number for moving it left. This is all in theory since I've never done this for a car, but I've done this for other items so it should be the same.

I edited the positions I wanted to with the rig editer. and now I think I have to edit the MODL file because the changes showed up in the rig file but wheels were still rotating on the old axis's.

The wheels are in the right spot but they rotate on the old axis. If I import the file into Milkshape it still positions the joints exactly where they were from the car I cloned. I have to change something else but I cant find any references in any other files. I looked at other car files and I dont know why this isnt working.
I just opened up Milkshape and moved the tires so they sit right on top of the joints, now when the car drives it looks perfect but when its parked it looks like the milkshape file.
