gems and rocks aren't spawning

When I play my sims 3, and I try the collector reward, it won't show the rocks and gems. It will show everything else. I can't figure out why and I've looked all over the internet trying to figure out why. Any help would be appreciated. :)

Have you gone through the game problem FAQ here: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Game_Problem Sometimes CC can cause weird problems.

Does it happen in all neighborhoods? Some custom ones don't have all the spawners.

If you have made a backup of the neighborhood, you can try entering (without the quotes) "TestingCheatsEnabled true", then "buyDebug" Now in the function sort in buy mode there is a new ? category. Click that, and find the gem/metal spawners. Drop about 5 base game spawners for cheap gems or iron/silver onto a lot, and watch. (You can turn Testing Cheats off now, by entering "TestingCheatsEnabled false" Or you can leave it running if you are able to avoid experimenting with things you don't understand.) After two sim weeks the lot should have produced something. If not, it's the spawners that are broken. If it does produce something, see if the Collection helper can spot anything there. If not, it's the Collection helper that is broken. If it ends up being full of metals and gems, which the collection helper is finding nicely when anyone uses it, then it's the neighborhood that isn't producing them. And if it's just one sim who isn't seeing rocks or gems, the problem is with the sim.

I have the same problem, only a handful of gems and rocks is spawned in a week but in the places where they should be, the world is covered with digging spots for dogs.
