Game crashes randomly, help?!

I've read the helpthreads, but nothing there seems to fit my problem..

Because, instead of crashing with a specific something like an object, sim, lot or loading stage it just crashes randomly while playing
it doesnt matter which family or neighbourhood or even if I use cc
does anyone know this problem and how to solve it?

Mine was doing that because of my music files in the radio folders. Maybe to do with quality of the file or codec error. It would hit a song and crash leaving me to guess why.

Mine was doing this for ages. I couldn't figure out any pattern to it, I thought maybe it was FRAPS, or maybe my graphics drivers. Finally, I hit a sequence of events that made it crash consistently and sure enough, it was a piece of CC, some sort of default replacement. It seemed to be happening randomly, because other sims I wasn't controlling were activating whatever it was without my knowledge.

Of course, this is the first day of me playing it without that file and sods law, it'll crash now just to spite me. XD
