View Full Version : How do I save/export in Milkshape 3D 1.8.5?

I downloaded Milkshape 3D 1.8.5 TRIAL version thinking I'd be able to save or export the custom poses I made (it's my first time making any custom content). Is there any way I can save/export in the trial version? I'm going to try and buy the actual full version, but I'd hate to recreate the pose I made. :(

When I try to save/export a window pops up saying:

"This copy is not registered! If you want to use Milkshape 3D, you should buy a registration code at http://www.milkshape3d.com."

I Googled "milkshape save in trial version" and the only thing I found useful is this page (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=445670) of a thread someone asks how to save, but I don't quite understand the answer they received to resolve it.

 Please help!

Unfortunately, no. That answer is pretty irrelevant. You may be able to save in MS3D format (File -> Save as), which would allow you to keep the pose but not actually export it to a format the game can use. Sadly, Chumbalum changed the trial recently to limit it quite significantly - I don't really understand why.

Oh. That's too bad. I'm going to buy the full version now. I guess I'll just have to recreate it. Oh well, it will be more practice I guess. :)
Would you happen to know the exact link where I can pay for it? I've never bought something online like this before, and I just want to make sure I don't give money to some fake site.

This is the official Milkshape site, and the only place you can buy it from: http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/
