I'm trying to install the Sims 2 on a better computer. It has one scratch on it, and I've tried everything every website tells me to! I've cleaned it, I've wiped it off, I put it through a disk cleaner, nothing works. The disk can install, because about a year ago, I installed it on the last computer we had. I'm open to ANY suggestions though.

I'm currently manually installing it, and as when I tried to let it install itself, Disk 2 is having troubles copying over Voice6.package. I am using disks, and my game is legal. I was wondering if anybody had the Voice6.package that I could download? I'd really rather not buy another copy of the game, but it's looking like it's going to come to that. I'm just rounding all my bases now. Thanks in ahead for any help offered. :lovestruc

If you are unable to copy the files from your disk, in spite of cleaning it, then you'll probably have to get a new disk. You may be able to get a replacement disk from EA for $10 or so, but I'm not sure whether they still offer replacement disks now that Sims 3 is out.
