Hi everyone,
My flatmate suffers from anxiety issues but loves the Sims series of games, She is currently hogging my laptop to play Sims 2. Looking for specific items in the forums scares the living daylights out of her so instead the complete Sims virgin (me) is stuck asking questions which may not be phrased correctly or sound stupid. I'll try to be as clear as I can.
The first thing I was asked to find out is if there are any unofficial bugfixes for Sims2 (all expansion packs) as there are still items/objects etc that don't behave consistantly or as they are meant to?
The second is a question about realism. Are/Is there any Mod/s which makes timescales (she's written lengths of time which might make more sense) more realistic? If there are multiple mods/hacks from a single creator for different actions would these generally be compatible with each other?
The third question relates to realism related to sex and pregnancy etc. Is there a way to make it refer to Sex rather than Woohoo? Is there a way for characters to Woohoo in the shower? Is there a way for Sims to get pregnant during normal woohoo? Are there any other options relating to pregnancy and realism (Abortion, giving up children for adoption, miscarriage or teen pregnancy)?
4th question relates to kids and teens, Is there a way to make teens able to move out and is there a way to allow death to occur in non adult sims?
Last question is about placing of objects and object interaction. Is there a way to allow an object to be placed in more than the standard 4 angles? Is there a way for sims to sit in any seat when watching tv?
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section or if I've been unclear, any help would be greatly appreciated by both the rookie and the bundle of nerves. :)
Thanks.

You should be able to find most if not all of these on the content list (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Content_List:Main_Page) or by googling.
The cheat boolprop allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true will allow you to rotate at 45 degree angles. I recommend you add that to your startup.cheat (http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Userstartup.cheat) .

You'll need to go to Sexysims2 for that. Don't worry, it's MTS's sister site. You know, the sister who also is a cheap stripper who spends more money on booze and condoms than on her three-year old child. That sister.

3. Have a look at Simbology (http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php). They are hosting ACR (Autonomous Casual Romance) and InTeen (teen pregnancy) there together with other useful mods.
In addition to MTS and Simbology, here are some links to sites with mods:
- MATY (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?PHPSESSID=d33bce6d8159ea3e6f3bb50bcfb6d244&board=5.0)
- Cyjon (http://drupal.cyjon.net/node/42)
- Squinge's Mods (http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/board,152.0.html) @Insimenator
For 'adult' related stuff, there are SexySims2. InSimAdult and Back Alley Sims.
Your questions are quite general (I understand why), so I can't give you more specific links. :)
ETA:
5. Watch TV... (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=462269)
In addition to the cheat Mordant17 gave you: Cheats (http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Sims_2_Cheats)

I agree with arathea's suggestions.
The Inteen hack provides you with lots of various options related to Sim pregnancy; if properly installed, the hack appears as a little purple clock that can be summoned by clicking on the pie menu of any Sim. It allows teen pregnancy, but not only that; you can control how long a Sim's pregnancy period will last, you can put Sims on birth control or fertility treatments, and you can also have the Sim abort, which will give it a mild drop of motives and a suitable bad memory. You can find the hack simply by googling it (that's how I got it), but be sure to read all instructions carefully before installing (you can never be too careful with hacks).
As for teens moving out, this hack (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=20309) will give you the option. I myself have a hack which lets teens live on their own, but I can't recall if it's this specific one or some other. I think (but again, I'm not sure), that Inteen also lets your teen Sims move out. If the description of the hack says it has the option, then there is no need to install the hack I linked to (conflicting hacks aren't fun). And I'm pretty sure you can kill both kids and teens by in-game means such as fire or starvation (that is,if you can manage to keep the Social workers at bay during the process), but you can also accomplish it by summoning Rodney's Death creator, which is a Maxis cheat that can be brought up by typing 'BoolProp TestingCheatsEnabled True' into the cheatbox, selecting a Sim, clicking 'Spawn' and then choosing the name of the hack. For more 'fun' facts on killing Sims, read this SimsWiki article (http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Death#The_Sims_2).
Regarding 'Woohoo', Pandora Sims (http://www.pandorasims.net/mods2.html) has a hack which changes the word into the f-word. Again, make sure to read the hack description before installing it. The site also features other hacked objects related to Sim sex, and I'm almost positive that it had some hacked shower which is woohoo friendly, too.
Last question is about placing of objects and object interaction. Is there a way to allow an object to be placed in more than the standard 4 angles? Is there a way for sims to sit in any seat when watching tv?
If you want more freedom in decorating, there are only two things you need: one is cheats, the other is OMSPs. There is a, as I like to call it, holy cheat trinity for decorating which consists of:
- moveobjects on (moveobjects off to reverse cheat effects)
-boolprop snapobjectstogrid false (boolprop snapobjectstogrid true to reverse cheat effects)
-boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation true (boolprop allow45degreeangleofrotation false to reverse cheat effects)
Once typed in, these cheats will let you do pretty much everything you could never do in a Sims game before, like placing objects out of the prescribed grid lines, rotating them, selecting and moving objects which weren't previously selectable, etc. But there is a little problem with the whole thing: even with all these cheats, you still won't be able to place more objects on one surface and arrange them the way you want. That's where OMSPs come to action. Those are auxiliary surface pieces which have a specific height or angle, are usually invisible, and are designed to cheat the dull Maxis slot system. If you, for example, want your one-slot coffee table to have both a decorative vase and a coffee mug on it, you can pick two OMSPs with the suitable height, place the objects on them, and then move the OMSPs with the objects onto the table. There exist many, many different OMSPs through the community, and you can get some of them here (http://realizeadream.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/sim-poser-omsps-no-ofb-required/) , here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=240082), here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=317716), here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=325570) and here (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=319577) . There's also a useful guide for decorating with the moveobjects cheat, which can be found here (http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=464971).
