This has surely been asked a thousand times, but my Google search results returned little in terms of recent information. (Possibly due my poor wording.) Anyways, I wanted to move a house I liked from Starlight Shores to Bridgeport, but quickly found that there were no lots of close enough size. I eventually deleted the "resort" in the bottom corner of the map that I forget exists every time I load up a save. (Really, what's the point of it?) Anyways, to get back to topic, I was really hoping to be able to import this house onto a much larger lot so I would have room to build a barn and possibly a garden extension. Problem is, when I plop the house down it's forced into the middle and I can't do much since all the extra space is evenly distributed around the sides. Does ANYONE know of a mod that would allow us to move lots in addition to rotate them when placing them? It's really driving me crazy as I had spent around 4-5 hours trying to build a similar house that I am still overall disappointed with.

There is a mod here on MTS called Any Lot Size. Here it is: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=471164 I don't know if you can add a lot larger than 64x64, tho.
And moving a house to another town: just save the house the library. It works for me.

Houses are always placed in the middle now when placing on a bigger one then the orginal, don't think there is any mod that can change that.
It didn't use to be like that though i have a house that i moved from a 30x40 to a 64x64 long time ago and it was placed on the side, just like the orginal giving me all the new space on one side.
Any Lot Size have the capability to add lots larger then 64x64 but creater have disabled it since game CTD if you do it.

Actually, any lot size from velocitygrass is still available on MTS at http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=471164&c=1&ht=0&page=8&pp=25#startcomments . I haven't had any CTDs associated with it, and I couldn't see anything in the comments section on it to indicate it was removed.
BTW, WHAT resort is on the Bridgeport map? I've played that town for quite a while, and never noticed a resort.

The mod it self is working perfectly and is still availible, i use it to, i meant that the ability to place lots larger then 64x64 is disabled, doing that will make game CTD, so creator disabled that possibility, rather then having people complaning that it make game crash.

I think the OP is referring to the butterfly bubble.

Ah, the butterfly park makes sense. I've used that lot a few times as well. You just have to be careful to review the lot after demolishing it, as the butterfly spawners remain on the lot after deleting the park, and edit the lot itself to remove them. Otherwise, your new lot will be filled with butterflies (unless you want that, but personally I always felt bugs should be outside the home, not inside).

Heheh, exactly. I'm actually referring to the small park past the overlook on the celebrity side of Bridgeport. In the very corner of the map far from the actual town is some small park (I think it's named Buena Vista Resort) but is referred to as a resort. I had a feeling no one EVER visited it and I knew I wouldn't miss it, so I deleted it so I could place a house there, as it's a very nice area with a waterfall.
It's disappointing to hear that there isn't an addon that can prevent lots from being plopped down in the middle. :| Ah well, I'll just try my best at building a house. Thanks for the replies everyone!
