Problem with neighbourhoods

I have downloaded two neighbourhoods:

1. Acorn Bend, Predecorated Neighborhood by QBUILDERZ
2. Middleground -- Neighbourhood with lots; base game compatible by plasticbox

and with both I got the same problems:
1. decorations dont show up, but I have download them and I have put them in the right folder (Downloads folder)
2. water looks like a solid lightpurpleblue plastic plate, like someone used the buckettool on paint, while it should be a reflecting/transparent dark blue
3. the grass looks like it's dead, while it should be fresh green

I've put everything in the right places, like both threads said. I downloaded and tried the neighbourhoods while there were no other downloads (also no downloads before) and the same problem. Other downloads do work.
I also tried with and without the sc4. files, files in and out of maps in the right folder ofcourse, etc.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or how I can solve this problem?

Those sound like symptoms of an inadequate computer. Can we assume that you don't have these problems with other neighborhoods?

My computer is brand new, its only 2 days old
I hardly believe it could be inadequate
unless its windows 7 thats causing the problem

the problem don't show up with default/game neighbourhoods

and I think u misunderstood me with the CC part
the cc shows up in the neighbourhood build mode section, but not in the neighbourhood itself (but it should, cus its a decorated neighbourhood)

My computer is brand new, its only 2 days old. I hardly believe it could be inadequateIt doesn't matter how new your computer is. What matters is how powerful it is. You don't even have a graphics card. Your computer is inadequate for the games that you have installed. Each time that you play the game, you are likely damaging your computer.

As to the CC not showing up... Did you run the game after installing the neighborhoods and before installing the CC? If so, you'll have to reinstall the neighborhoods.

As I tried to explain, that just isn't adequate to play the game and you're probably hurting your computer every time that you play.

Just search ModTheSims for other people with that chip, or google for reviews of your chip. You'll see that the chip isn't meant for games, but for email and surfing the web.

Please read the onboard graphics FAQ and associated links, to understand just what's happening and to get some suggestions about how to minimize the damage to your computer.

All integrated graphics are insufficient for playing Sims games. "Home use" in computer shop terms means email and youtube, not playing Sims games. Home use requires a lot less power than playing Sims. That computer is not a strong computer.

Having integrated graphics doesn't guarantee that you will have problems. It does, however, guarantee that if you do have hardware-related problems, the only way to fix them will be to upgrade. You were lucky with your old computer, which happens sometimes, but not reliably enough to justify spending money on a new computer with integrated graphics.

No, there is no other explanation. You do not have a graphics card (integrated graphics, as you say, is part of your processor chip; a graphics card is an actual separate circuit board which you plug into a PCI-E slot) and that is why you are getting graphics glitches.

The Intel HD (and integrated Intel in general) is well known for having issues with TS2 - especially issues that develop over time and/or as you add more EPs... More strain over time, more strain in the past = issues. This isn't a debate - it's just the facts. Intel HD is simply not good for TS2. If someone built you a computer with Intel HD after you've specifically asked for something good and strong, you should never ask them for help with your computer again because they don't have a clue what they're talking about.

See Tom's Hardware Graphics Card Hierarchy (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html) - press ctrl-f and type "intel HD" and you'll find it way down at the bottom of the list. I think you have the 3000 because you have an i3 processor, which means it's a bit stronger than some of the other Intel HD chips - even so, it's on par with cards from 7 years ago.

It may be in the Sims 3 section, but it is just as valid for Sims 2. Forcing your chip to run at maximum capacity (or a bit more) for long periods will eventually cause it to give up. Whiterider used a car analogy; another analogy that could have worked would have been the story of the straw that broke the camel's back. The merchant kept loading more and more merchandise onto his faithful camel. His camel finally ended up carrying almost half a ton of various goods every day. One day the merchant loaded the camel with bales of straw. He spotted one loose straw on the ground and added it. The extra weight of the single straw was too much and the camel's back broke.

Your card is integrated. That means that it has the possibility of taking other nearby components with it when it dies. If that happens you will need a new motherboard. And with various temperature changes, minor power surges, grains of dust, and even too many sims with the same medium-poly outfit appearing at the same place, you never know what will end up being the straw that breaks the camel's back with your card.
