I don't know what's going on. I've always had a few problems with my Sims 3 game, but they were pretty typical "Can't recognize your Sims 3 disc" so then I'd reload until it did (sometimes deleting my cache in order to do so).
But I reloaded it the other day after updating with the latest EA Patch, and putting a few Dragonsire's Doctor Who mods in and suddenly all my saves are gone (they are still in the folder but the Sims 3 isn't recognizing them!!). And all of my downloads were no longer installed (and they were not even in the download section of the launcher). My mods are not working either, and my set up is correct. I am using the correct resource file, and all of it is set up the same as before, but it's still not working. I tried getting rid of DS's Doctor Who Mods and it made no difference.
I tried to play today, but when I had it loaded, and it was at the menu for picking saves (I started a new one to see what was going on) and it told me I didn't even have the disc in. (I did.)
