View Full Version : Twallan and AwesomeMod are breaking Showtime

Hi!

So I made the mistake of updating to Showtime. I was getting the "Unnoficial Mod" error despite taking out all CC - Sims could not interact with each other.

So I did a clean uninstall. I reinstalled and patched to 1.33 using the Ultimate Fix. Sims worked without the CC. I also added in my CC one folder at a time, and all of my objects/clothing/etc works perfectly fine. The Sims broke when I put in my Twallan Mods folder. I took it out, and tried Awesome Mod. I updated my AM and Twallan mods and tried again. Still crashed. I deleted the cache, and tried different combos of Twallan and AM together and separately about billion times. I gave up, took out the mods all together. I attempted to uninstall Showtime but now the game doesn't work at all.

I am going to do another clean uninstall but not upgrade to Showtime and see if it's still not working. I mostly just want AwesomeMod to work. I can't play without it.

AM is a core mod. You will need to be patched to the proper level for it. Which means 1.33 unless you want to help test the 1.34 version.

After patching the game, you need to download updated versions of those mods.

I did both of those things yesterday and today. Sorry, the way I worded it didn't make it very clear. I updated/patched to 1.33 and also updated the mods to 1.33 but it still was not working.

I did another clean uninstall/reinstall this morning. It still gives me the Unofficial Game Mod error but it does run, a few crashes but only after I save. Not optimal but it at least works.

The current version of AwesomeMod already requires 1.34

The "Unnoficial Mod" error is related to that you run lower/higher game version then the mod is for or that you have mods in the old way (http://linna.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Old_Way_to_New_Way) , also using the "Ultimate Fix" to update is not supported here i belive use Game Help:TS3 Patching (http://linna.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Patching) to update.

Belzader - Ah, I think the problem is that I thought Pets was 1.29 but it was actually 1.26, and I patched it directly up to 1.33 - I will have to do another clean uninstall/reinstall and patch correctly this time.

Babele44 - Thanks, when I had this problem 1.34 wasn't even out yet and neither was the Awesome Mod update. I've already downloaded the current AM and will use it when I reinstall and repatch to 1.34 the correct way.
