Personally mine was the fashion career. I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that misses some of the old careers... :(

I never could get into The Sims because I didn't have mods to make it less annoying. In the Sims 2, I think maybe the Oceanography career.
Is the Stylist Profession that came with Ambitions different from the fashion career?
In the reverse, I kind of wish there was a way to put the Curious brothers in the Ghost Hunter Profession.

Yeah I completely agree with you about the sims it was incredibly annoying...
The oceangrapher career was another favorite of mine. Yes the stylist Profession is similar but idk I'm just really lazy sometimes and wish that I could have a rabbit-hole style career that involves fashion. You know? instead of having to make all those outfits in the stylist career which for me can become incredibly time consuming!
It would be fun to see the Curious brothers in that Profession...but wasnt there a Paranormal Career track that came with University in ts2?

I don't play Sims3 so I don't miss a thing in it. I do wonder why some of the careers, like Fashion, didn't make the cut. Fashionista seems like the perfect career for Dina Caliente.

There is a Paranormal Career Track that came with University, but none of my Sims ever want to go into it.
The Ghost Hunter Profession deals more with ghosts and spirits and I think it would be perfect for them with their "open mindedess" with whats "out there."
I don't want to create them and put them in Sims 3 because as I found out the hard way having more than one Sim in a Profession is impossible.

@Peni Griffin Yeah I don't know why it (Fashion) never became part of the game... It would be perfect for Dina I always had a hard time picking a job for her that wasnt business...that is when i didnt make her marry mortmer..so she didnt Need a job
@Orilon I never got a sim that wanted to be part of the paranormal career either...
I've never really extensively played the Ghost hunter profession beacause like you said its really difficult having more than one sim at a time in a profession...but yeah your right they seem to be into the paranormal and the different....speaking of whats out there am I the only one who misses aliens?

Just so you know, double posting is against the rules. Editing your post is the preferred method.
I miss aliens and alien abductions when I play Sims 3.

You're welcome.
I am disappointed that the trailer for the Supernatural EP coming out in September for Sims 3 doesn't include aliens.

Agreed. you would think with a title like Supernatural it would include aliens, but i guess their saving that for another expansion pack, if they ever add them to the game.
By the way are you at all excited for Supernatural? If you are waht are ypu most excited about? I think I'm most excited for the fairies and the return of witches and zombies.

I'm kind of interested in the fairies, but I'm not totally sure I want to buy it. I think I'll make the decision based on more information after its released.

Shouldn't this thread be on the TS3 board?

TS2 has a fashion career? I've never seen it.
I don't have many favourites, but I have favourite career rewards. I liked the bookcase that came with the education career.

No, it doesn't. Original sims had a fashion career. Tiffany Burb, mother of Pleasantview's John Burb, was in it, and she'd go to work at absurd hours and come home in absurd outfits; though the tailor/seamstress work outfit was pretty classy. She had a little tape measure round her shoulders.

Actually, there is a Fashion career for sims 2, but in the console version. UGH!
But you can still sew clothes (if you have FT) and sell them in a business.

I miss the Superstar EP from sims 1. I wish TS2 had some of TS3 careers, like firefighter, interior design, inventor, etc.

You can invent toys, medicine and robots in sims 2 you know! and later on, sell them.

Oh yea I know, but the inventor career had more random things that can be made, or just for deco.
And that reminds me of the sculpture career! I like that too :P

Lazzy, I'm confused. Do you mean self-employed inventor?
The ability to detonate things would be kind of nice in 2.
I wish the Education career in 3 had the golden bookcase like in 2.

I would think that this would make more sense in the Sims 3 Discussion forum. After all, those people actually play Sims 3.

I wasn't sure which board to post it on because it was about all three versions of the sims series but yeah now that I think about it, it would make more sense in the TS3 boards
@Peni Griffin and M.M.A.A. your both correct i loved both of them which is why i would like to have it in the sims 3

Oh yea, I guess im thinking more of the workshop object instead of the actual career. Detonation would be fun!
