Hey guys, I'm trying to make my preset camera angle transitions a lot slower and smoother so you can take in the entire beauty of what's within the view of the camera. I recently discovered you could do so through changing the lerpDuration in the VideoCamera.ini file located here..

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Ini

However when I go to set lerpDuration to a higher number such as 20 and save it there is no change in the game, same with any other changes to VideoCamera.ini. The file is properly saving and I do not have any mods installed for the Sims 3. I don't know if one of the expansions I have installed is conflicting with the file or what, but if anybody has a solution or a mod that could act as a quick fix that'd be great, so I could actually start recording my Sims 3 house building videos. :)

Have you tried restarting the game? I believe that file gets read only when the game starts.

I too have this problem. Is this from the update? It's supposed to be changeable in game. I used to be able to simply minimize The Sims 3 and change it.
