Hi all! Can you believe how much I got bored, that I went in Tutorial neighborhood of The Sims 2. Yeah...

Anyway, I bought Tutorial Joe and Jane a nice jacuzzi and send 'em off to night skinny dipping. It was a storm, so Joe got struck by lightning. Instead of Grimmie showing up, the loading screen showed up, which directed me back to the main menu (Neighborhood Chooser).

I re-loaded the tutorial and starved Joe to death. Again, no Grimmie.

Grimmie does, however (thank God!) appear when I kill one of the Sims living in a "real" neighborhood.

Is this normal or what?

Well, its just a tutorial, and EA probably wanted to leave some surprises for the player. Also, if they included everything in the tutorial, what's the point of playing other neighborhoods? So basically, the tutorial neighborhood will be the actual "real" neighborhood if Grimmie appeared.

Ah, yes. It's so much fun killing Tutorial Joe. Though you never really kill him. Game doesn't want that.

I would of found it funnier if killing Tutorial Joe gave you a pissed off message. Kind of like when you're playing that one game that's a quiz gameshow or whatever, and if you type f-you, the computer gets mad, starts yelling at you, and takes away all your money. If you do it again, he'll yell at you more, and rename your character something immature. If you do it again after that, the game quits out.

Ah.

Good times.

Good times.

I remember when I first bought the game when I was fourteen. I didn't know anything about The Sims 2, and also I didn't know about the testingCheatsEnabled.

The game was really fun to me, since I switched immediately from The Sims (1) to The Sims 2. Of course, one of the first things I realized was "Try for Baby" option in a hot tub. (And Motherlode.)

So I got a female pregnant, and spent rest of the Sim day eating hot dogs (in-game  ). So, I set every Sim to bed, but the pregnant Sim was both hungry and exhausted. So I sent her down to the kitchen (and since I've built HUUUGE houses back then, she passed out a step away from the counter). She died, and Grim Reaper showed up. That semi-understandable voice, rib cage covered with torn black... coat?, and a syche, I was hella scared. Like, the blood stopped flowing through my body. I was cold.

Actually, now that I've brought that up, it seems quite understandable why EA didn't want us to reveal how Sims die, I guess. Wow.

I think the point of the tutorial is to show you how to keep the sims alive.

You know what, I have never actually played the tutorial hood. I just went straight into the game thinking I knew it all because I played sims 1.

Tutorial is there if you went to the store to buy Call of Duty Modern Farware (or how is it called), but the store ran out of the game. Instead, they offered you The Sims 2.
