Am I the only one with this problem? (Resource.cfg)

I've attempted to start downloading cc quite a few times now, but I've sadly always failed.
My problem is that when I try to save Resource.cfg I'm randomly denied access. It's really annoying me. I'm going mad because I am really anxious to expand my sims game play(or whatever)

I would really appreciate if I can get an answer SOON because like i said before, I'm really ready to start using cc in my sims 3.

P.S.:

The message that pops up to tell me that i can't save resource.cfg say something like,"You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact administrator to obtain information. "

Makes me want to "HULK SMASH!!!" my computer. :help:

Where are you trying to save the Resource.cfg? That message should only appear if you try to save it in Program Files; and if you're trying to do that, you're doing it wrong: Game Help:Installing Sims 3 Package Files

It actually turns out i was using the old instructions, and I've corrected myself by moving the Mods folder to the correct place and putting the resource.cfg file withing it, alongside packages.

I am still having problems getting it to show up in the game though. Possibly am I doing something wrong? :cry:

If you just moved the Resource.cfg, that's why - you need to replace it with the new one (which you can download from the instructions page). :)
