Propose Option Gone

I recently graduated my sim Penelope from college and moved her in with her boyfriend. They lived in an apartment until I got a strange glitch where they couldn't go up the stairs. They'd get close to it, then turn around and walk away, then try to go back up until I deleted the action they were trying to fulfill. I'm not sure if I had the propose option before then or not. Now that they're in their new home, I have every option of interaction, but propose is just gone. The last time I had a sim propose it was a Surprise Engagement and it glitched in the middle, ending up with the husband handing the ring to someone who wasn't there, and the wife has no memory of getting engaged. The only stuff I've downloaded recently is a few hair files and a mod that heightens bill payments, which I deleted, but the problem persists. Any ideas?

Try going through the game problem faq. There's more to it than just removing CC.

The stairs glitch is probably irrelevant. When I have that problem in apartments, it always means there's an invisible person stuck on them, and it's fixed by enabling building tools, deleting the stairs, and replacing them.

Yep, afraid you'll have to work the FAQ. It looks intimidating, but follow it one step at a time and it's not so bad.
