A long while ago, I got that mysterious missing interface bug when accessing my neighborhood. Thinking all was lost, I deleted the world.

Now, I find I have saves still left over from those worlds. If I could, I'd love to extract my sims from those saves. Maintaining relationships and so on isn't a biggie; I can start all over again there. I've googled around, but I keep getting results for Sims 2, so the waters are a bit muddy as to what's possible.

So. Is there a way, either by SimsPE or another program, that can extract sims? I'm trying to do it by SimsPE, but I'm not having any luck.

No, SimPE won't open a Sims 3 game. It was made for Sims 2.

There might be a possibility of locating them with s3pe, but as far as I know that would be experimental.
Have you thought about reinstalling the world and seeing if that allows the save to work again?

I'm emailing the website owner of the world I used, since it's no longer on their website. Not sure how to get the save to appear once you delete a world, but maybe it'll work.

EDIT: Got it to work, since that world was just a cleared out version of Sunset Valley. I backed up my old save in a separate folder, made a new save with the same name, then took the files from my old save and had them overwrite the ones in the new save. Worked like a charm, and I can now port families out. Thanks!
