So, the story, I was on SimPE and was changing some ages on sims, then under the Extra tab, saw the "Run Sims 2" option, never clicked on it before, and decided to "give it a go".

It ran fine as it popped up for window viewing, but when I wanted to return to the standard, everything had been enlarged.

Rather than my screen looking like "the standard" with both the motives and wants showing, its has collapsed to only showing one or the other.

I've tried to see if the resolution had changed, but it seems to be how it should through the file res folder.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

I don't think I've seen that problem before.

I suppose you could try going into game options and changing the screen resolution to the minimum settings. Apply the change, and exit the game. Then go back in and set the resolution to where you -do- want it.

See that little icon of three sims with arms around each other with the arrow? Click that. It expands the Wants panel.

This is a problem I've experienced. Go to F5, there's an icon of a computer screen, click it, choose any of the options that have 1024 in front of the x (the options are in the middle of the screen), and then click 'Apply', and 'Yes' when the pop-up asking you whether you want these settings appears. This should solve the issue. If there's something about the screen that doesn't look quite right to you, just try the various other options until you find the one that fits your screen best =)
